SACNAS Rocky Mountain Regional Meeting
All SACNAS members are invited to join us in Denver, Colorado, on August 28–29, 2009 for the SACNAS Rocky Mountain
Regional Meeting. The event’s purpose is to unite underrepresented students from the Rocky Mountain Region in order to develop
leadership skills, establish supportive networks, and strengthen ties to the resources that will help members succeed. By
creating this network, members and chapters throughout the Rocky Mountain Region are building a stronger local SACNAS
community. Colorado State University, Community College of Denver, Metropolitan State College, Otero Junior College,
University of Colorado at Denver, and student members at the University of Northern Colorado are all collaborating in
the organization of this event.> More info View a 11-minute movie about SACNAS, our members, programs, and achievements. anniversary and in honoring everyone who has contributed and benefited from three and a half decades of excellence in science,
mentoring, and cultural connection. As part of its anniversary celebration, SACNAS joined researchers from around the globe in focusing on climate change,
especially in the Arctic and Antarctic. Through its ongoing International Polar Year
participation (begun in late 2007), SACNAS continues to engage the underrepresented minority scientific community in addressing

inhabitants. SACNAS e-nouncements
