Biography

Rodolfo Jimenez, Jr. is currently a doctoral student in the cellular and molecular biology program at the University of Texas at San Antonio. His research focuses on the discovery of novel protein interactions with the cytoplasmic domains of the anthrax receptors, and how the interactions affect anthrax toxicity. His group hopes that these newly discovered interactions will help to better understand the pathology of anthrax toxicity, as well as lead to new forms of treatment and prevention. Mr. Jimenez holds a BS in biochemistry from Texas State University.
