SACNAS Partners with MAES in 2010
Two Great Conferences.  One Great Location.

SACNAS is excited to partner with the Society of Mexican American Engineers and Scientists (MAES) for "The National STEM Event of the Year."

The 2010 SACNAS National Conference, held at the Anaheim Convention Center, and the 2010  MAES Annual Symposium, held next door at the Hilton Anaheim, promises to result in a historic gathering of 4,000 science and engineering students and professionals.

Our shared belief in community and culture are at the heart of our collaboration.  By working together, we hope to strengthen our networks and engage a larger audience in broadening participation in the sciences.

Attendees of both SACNAS and MAES will enjoy a joint welcome ceremony on Thursday evening and have access to each other's conference activities, sessions, exhibit halls, and cultural events (excluding meals).

MentorNet and SACNAS
SACNAS maintains a yearly partnership with MentorNet, a nonprofit e-mentoring network, to pair our SACNAS professional members with student members pursuing studies and careers in engineering, science, and mathematics. We encourage our professional audience to volunteer and become an online mentor via MentorNet. Members of SACNAS have the option to be matched with other members of SACNAS for the unique online experience. When you sign up, simply mark your preference for being matched to a SACNAS member.

Please note that since this is an online program, you can spend as little as 20 minutes a week, for 8 months, to help improve student retention and success in these critical fields.

Sign up today by creating your profile via the One-on-One Mentoring Programs links on the MentorNet website,  http://www.mentornet.net/mentor. SACNAS encourages our students to join MentorNet this summer so that you are paired up with your ideal mentor for the start of the Fall semester.
