Environmental Meeting Commitment
As part of SACNAS’ ongoing efforts to conduct our annual meeting in the most sustainable manner possible,
a portion of all registration fees goes to off-setting harmful emissions resulting from the transportation and energy
consumption associated with the event. To meet the goal of hosting a carbon-neutral meeting, SACNAS works with our partner,
Native Energy, to calculate the tons of CO2 emissions generated
in putting on the conference and due to the travel & participation of meeting attendees, and applies a monetary
value to each ton of CO2. SACNAS then donates this total financial sum to Native Energy to finance and
build new clean and renewable energy projects.
