The new National Science Foundation IGERT program at UCSB: ConvEne Conversion of Energy through Molecular Platforms, welcomes doctoral applicants for Fall admissions starting 2009.
Students will perform interdisciplinary research in areas of relevance to energy, including organic and hybrid photovoltaics, solar hydrogen, catalysis related to fossil- and bio-fuel use, and energy policy. The program will ensure that students are equipped to participate in the development of versatile new technologies for the generation, conversion, and use of energy.
Successful applicants will be supported by IGERT fellowships of $30,000 per year for two years.
