The Department of Anesthesia and Critical Care of the Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School, seeks an anesthesia-trained critical care physician to staff the Surgical Intensive Care Unit and serve as an instructor or assistant professor at Harvard Medical School.
The Division of Critical Care currently includes 11 Attending anesthesiologists / intensivists and 3 Attending surgeons / intensivists. The clinical practice of the Division of Critical Care is centered on a 20-bed surgical ICU, and also includes the PACU and a 10- bed Respiratory Unit. The position requires a strong commitment to teaching and research. Clinical duties may be divided between provision of anesthesia in the operating room and critical care services in the ICU.
Interested candidates must be Board Certified in Anesthesiology with subspecialty certification or eligibility in critical care medicine and qualify for a license to practice medicine in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
