UC Davis Health System, School of Medicine, M.I.N.D. Institute, located in Sacramento, has an immediate opening for Clinical Lab Scientist to perform the DNA diagnostic procedure for detecting expanded alleles of the Fragile X Mental Retardation 1 gene in both high-risk populations and in the general population, using whole blood or blood spots.
Requires California State License for Clinical Laboratory Scientist must be current and renewed annually; experience and competence with basic molecular biology technique including PCR, Southern Blot, RT-PCR is a must; knowledge of personal computer, word-processing, data management and spreadsheet software.
