“As a community of diverse scientists, SACNAS celebrates the scientific breakthroughs that have fueled the development of COVID-19 vaccines. From epidemiologists to infectious disease specialists, immunologists, and virologists, our STEM colleagues have created safe and effective vaccines that are not only proven to prevent severe disease, but also limit transmission. The disproportionate impact COVID-19 has had on our communities is heartbreaking and now science has provided us with the tools to bring this pandemic to an end. We encourage all SACNAS members. who are able, to get vaccinated.” —** Pamela Padilla, PhD, SACNAS President**
