Melisa Diaz, SACNAS member and Ohio State University (OSU) Chapter Vice-President, is interviewed by OSU’s Byrd Polar and Climate Research Center (BPCRC) about her research on wind transport and deposition in the McMurdo Dry Valleys of Antarctica. Her research provides insight into similar processes elsewhere on Earth and even Mars. “My research focuses on polar geochemistry, particularly in the McMurdo Dry Valleys, Antarctica. I love cold places, chemistry, and earth science, therefore my work is reflective of these interests,” she says.
