The Awards

SACNAS Outstanding College/University Mentor

Nominee holds a faculty position at an undergraduate focused college or university. Nominee has a demonstrated record of encouraging historically underrepresented minority undergraduate students to pursue advanced degrees in a science, technology, engineering, mathematics or a related field.

SACNAS Outstanding Community College Mentor

Nominee holds a faculty position at a community college. Nominee has a demonstrated record of encouraging historically underrepresented minority students to pursue advanced degrees in a science, technology, engineering, mathematics or a related field.

SACNAS Outstanding Research and Professional Mentor

Nominee holds a faculty position at a university, industry, government or non-profit institution. Nominee has a demonstrated record of encouraging historically underrepresented minority students or professionals to pursue advanced degrees in a science, technology, engineering, mathematics or a related field.

SACNAS Outstanding Native American Student Mentor

Nominee holds a faculty position at a college, tribal college, university, industry, government or non-profit institution. Nominee has a demonstrated record of encouraging Native American students to pursue advanced degrees in a science, technology, engineering, mathematics or a related field.

SACNAS Outstanding Hispanic Student Mentor

Nominee holds a faculty position at a college, university, industry, government or non-profit institution. Nominee has a demonstrated record of encouraging Hispanic/Latinx students to pursue advanced degrees in a science, technology, engineering, mathematics or a related field.
