How to Submit Your Nomination

  1. 1. Candidates must be SACNAS members (current regular or lifetime). Become/Renew Membership Here.
  2. 2. Read Candidate Criteria and Board Member Responsibilities and Expectations (PDF) and Board Giving Policy (PDF).
  3. 3. Submit nomination application, which includes uploading CV and professional headshot. NOTE: Incomplete nominations will not be accepted.
  4. 4. Nominations deadline is Friday, July 27, 2018. All materials must be in by this date. Sorry, no exceptions.


Candidate Criteria, Board Responsibilities & Expectations
SACNAS seeks candidates who will contribute:
Experience in fund development, business finances, industry, government, foundations
Unique perspectives and ideas for furthering our mission and strategic plan
Strong passion for our vision to achieve true diversity in STEM

Candidates must:

– Read our Candidate Criteria and Board Member Responsibilities and Expectations (PDF) and Board Giving Policy (PDF).
– Be current SACNAS members.

Election Process & Results


All current SACNAS professional annual or lifetime members (Life Member and Friends of the Society) are eligible to vote for general board members.


Current SACNAS student annual or lifetime members are eligible to vote for the student board member.

Results (Students and Professionals):

Elections results are published on the SACNAS website and announced to the membership via email.
