How to Submit Your Nomination

  1. 1. Candidates must be SACNAS members. Become/Renew Membership Here.
  2. 2. Read Candidate Criteria and Board Member Responsibilities and Expectations (PDF), Board Giving Policy (PDF), and SACNAS Code of Ethics.
  3. 3. Submit nomination application, which includes uploading a CV/resume and professional headshot.
  4. 4. Nominations deadline is Wednesday, July 31, 2019 at 11:59pm PT. All materials must be in by this date. Incomplete applications will not be accepted.
Candidate Criteria, Board Responsibilities & Expectations
SACNAS seeks candidates who are:
– Leaders or executives in all three sectors (academia, government/nonprofit, & private industry)
– Experienced in fund development, governance, business practices, and finances/budget

Candidates must:

– Read and agree to Candidate Criteria and Board Member Responsibilities and Expectations (PDF) 
– Read and agree to Board Giving Policy (PDF)
– Read and agree to SACNAS Code of Ethics

Election Process & Results

All current SACNAS regular members (postdoc, professional, lifetime, and friend of the society) are eligible to vote for board members.


Elections results are published on the SACNAS website and announced to the membership via email.
