What is CareerCon?

CareerCon is SACNAS’ response to our members expressed and growing interest in pursuing a career in industry. CareerCon is an immersive, experiential cohort-based career matching event which will be held digitally the week of April 24, 2023! 

This event will host sessions from industry experts and our own SACNAS members in the industry field. Get insight into the industry workplace, learn about current internships & positions you can apply for, all while expanding your professional skillset & network for your future career. Don't wait, apply today!

When & where will CareerCon take place?

CareerCon will take place digitally the week of April 25-27, 2023, with a 4-hour time commitment each day of the event.

Why should I attend CareerCon?

CareerCon is intended to fundamentally reimagine the career fair while bringing talent development and matching into the 21st century. CareerCon is a cohort-based career event that will engage high-caliber STEM career seekers in an immersive program, providing innovative tools for bringing your whole self to STEM, recognizing your strengths, and the building 21st century success skills necessary to thrive in private industry. Additionally, CareerCon will create unique engagements between career seekers and industry partners who are looking to hire diverse STEM talent!

What industry partners are participating in CareerCon?

Our current corporate partners include: Johnson & Johnson, Amgen, Amazon, Gilead, GSK, Merck, NASA, Wells Fargo, Schrodinger, NOAA, Biogen, Intellia, 10xGenomics, BMS, DE Shaw, Chapman, NGA, Carnegie Science, Palo Alto Networks, ServiceNow, BNL, Los Alamos National Lab, Simons Foundation, Genentech and AstraZeneca.

Our partners will come to CareerCon with open positions that will range from undergraduate internships, to postdoctoral work, all the way to early/mid-career research and development roles.
