Chapter Officer Leadership October Retreat (C.O.L.O.R.) 

C.O.L.O.R. is a 1 day retreat designed to support SACNAS chapter officers as they continue to place themselves in positions of leadership within their chapters, campuses, and communities. This retreat will not only equip chapter leaders, but also highlight and strengthen their leadership talents through connection and unity with the broader chapter network. SACNAS seeks at least 1 member from each chapter to self-nominate for an opportunity to improve skills, boost confidence, and grow their network of support through a series of engaging activities!

2025 C.O.L.O.R. self-nominations will open from June 2 to June 30!

The Details

When: October 29th, 2025. 

Where: In-Person in Columbus, OH (in conjunction with the 2025 NDiSTEM Conference 10/30-11/1)

Who:

  • Must be a Chapter officer at the time of the conference (Fall 2025)

  • Must be a current SACNAS Student Member (join/renew here!)

  • Your chapter must be ACTIVE, meaning that your chapter submitted/will submit a 2025 Annual Report

  • Submit a complete self-nomination

Requirements:

  • Program Investment: Up to $500

    • Participants must work with their institution/company to support up to a $500 cost share. If institutional funding cannot be secured, SACNAS will fully support the participation of accepted candidates. SACNAS will be asking for proof of attempt if accepted.

  • Full Participation:

    • Participants must be available to attend this pre-conference event and acknowledge that you will be flying in and out of Columbus, OH from Oct 28 - Nov 2.

IMPORTANT

All active* chapter officers are eligible to self nominate. This pre-conference event is only for student chapters. Priority will be given to ensure that 1 representative from your chapter can participate. Due to limited funding this year, a maximum of 30 members can be funded for this event.

*To be considered active, your chapter must/will submit 2025 Annual Report to National Office. Contact chapters@sacnas.org for more information.

Who is eligible to apply /nominate?

SACNAS seeks at least one person from every active chapter to self-nominate to participate in C.O.L.O.R.
