C.O.L.O.R. is a 1 day retreat designed to support SACNAS chapter officers as they continue to place themselves in positions of leadership within their chapters, campuses, and communities. This retreat will not only equip chapter leaders, but also highlight and strengthen their leadership talents through connection and unity with the broader chapter network. SACNAS seeks at least 1 member from each chapter to self-nominate for an opportunity to improve skills, boost confidence, and grow their network of support through a series of engaging activities!
When: October 28, 2026
Where: Long Beach, CA (in conjunction with the 2026 SACNAS Annual Conference (10/29 – 10/31)
Eligibility:
Must be a student Chapter officer at the time of the conference (Fall 2026)
Must be a current SACNAS Student Member (join/renew here!)
Must be enrolled as a student in your institution. Unofficial transcript will be asked for.
Your chapter must be ACTIVE, meaning that your chapter submitted/will submit a 2026 Annual Report
Must be a US Citizen/Resident to receive funding from SACNAS
Submit a complete self-nomination

Participants must be available to attend this pre-conference event and acknowledge that you will be flying in and out of Long Beach, CA from Oct. 27 - Nov. 1, 2026

Includes: fully funded airfare, lodging, and registration for both C.O.L.O.R. and the 2026 SACNAS Annual Conference.

SACNAS is currently seeking funding to host C.O.L.O.R. this year at the SACNAS Annual Conference in Long Beach, CA. This pre-conference event is only for student chapters. Priority will be given to ensure that 1 representative from your chapter can participate.
