SACNAS Receives Motorola Solutions Foundation Grant

Society for Advancement of Chicanos/Hispanics and Native Americans in Science (SACNAS) today announced it has received a grant from the Motorola Solutions Foundation. Through the grant, SACNAS will fund 10 undergraduate engineering students to attend 2017 SACNAS – The National Diversity in STEM Conference in Salt Lake City, Utah, October 19 – 21.

“We are honored to have the support of Motorola Solutions Foundation,” said Rolando Madrid, SACNAS Director of Programs. “Through partnerships with technology leaders such as Motorola, SACNAS is able to lead the way in diversifying our country’s STEM workforce. The talented and diverse engineers we will bring to this year’s conference through their support, represent a solid first step in accessing our country’s untapped potential.”

The Motorola Solutions Foundation awards grants each year to organizations, such as SACNAS, which support and advance public safety programs and technology & engineering education initiatives.
