SACNAS is thrilled to partner with The Story Collider show once again to hold a science storytelling show on November 1 in Honolulu, in conjunction with the 2019 SACNAS National Diversity in STEM conference! Submit your story pitch now through September 8!
How to Submit Your Story:
DEADLINE SEPTEMBER 8
For this show, we’re seeking true, personal stories about science to be told live on stage. These must be stories with a beginning, middle, and end, not lectures or speeches, and they must be true, firsthand experiences. They are typically eight to ten minutes long and can be about anything from how you first fell in love with science to a time when science intersected with your personal life to something else completely different.
For examples of great stories, check out SACNISTA Guizella Rocabado’s story from the 2018 show.
If you’re interested in sharing your story at the show, please email firstname.lastname@example.org by September 8 and include a short (1-2 paragraphs) summary of your story and “SACNAS” in the subject line. If we think your story might be a good fit for the show, we’ll get in touch! And you’ll have the opportunity to work with our producers to develop it in the weeks leading up to the show. Please note: All storytellers must be 21 years of age or older.
